Swings and roundabouts
Hooray, we have our first little spaghetti squash and cucumber seedlings peeking out of their potting compost!
However, the sparrows have eaten all the spinach seedlings that we planted out at the weekend and rather optimistically didn't net. I know it was the sparrows because I've just spent half an hour watching a little male house spadger hopping from plant to plant checking that he's had absolutely every last iota of edible, tender leaf off the stems.
Sigh.
It's a good thing they're both cute and increasingly rare (and too small for pie)!
