Kids today...
It has occurred to me, as a I read through old blogs that have apparently been abandoned by their authors, that reading someone’s blog is a little like reading a book that hasn’t been finished, and that when that blog stops being updated it leaves you with a feeling a bit like having an interesting story snatched away from you just before you reach the final chapter. It has also occurred to me that I can’t really complain about that if I don’t bother updating my own blog more than once a year!
In my defence it isn’t often that I get non-work time at an actual computer, and Blogger is a hateful interface to use with a smartphone. I may see if there’s an RSS option that I can use to update this and my old LiveJournal synchronously.
In the interests of getting back into the habit though, while I’m here I shall share with you a Sign of the Times from this morning: Leo, a month off three years old, ran up to the desktop computer this morning, flipped down the panel covering the USB ports, and hopefully shouted ‘OK GOOGLE’ into it (presumably in the hope of convincing it to play him a Thomas the Tank Engine cartoon).
