Nesting!
I've heard a lot of pregnant women talk about this surge of energy you're supposed to get in the last few weeks of pregnancy where you suddenly feel all energised and driven to do useful things, and frnakly I've been wondering where mine was!
Well, I've found it. Yesterday, having woken up to 4" of snow and the prospect of compacted ice all over the back path and patio all week, I went out and shovelled the path clear, swept it, and salted it - all the while supervised by Hildegarde, who was not impressed by the snow at all.
It's been a while since she hopped up onto the fence and demanded to be made a fuss of - apparently cold feet are a good motivation though.
I have continued today by clearing out the spare room. We use it mainly as a TV, painting and model building room. All of hubby's model building kit is in here, along with the computer and my painting and sewing things and over the last few months it's become the room you chuck things into when you don't know what else to do with them. Turns out the thing to do with a lot of them was either hoover the cat hair off them and put them on Freecycle, or bin them! I'll probably get a telling off for moving the bookcase with all of hubby's models on it when he gets home, but hey ho...
