First dates, hat dropping and an introduction

In 2004 I met the man who is now my husband. On our first date he paused in the middle of a soliloquy on he subject of my curves, looked me up and down thoughtfully and said "I bet you'd get pregnant at the drop of a hat".

Not a standard thing to say to a girl on a first date...

We've now been together for nearly 7 years, married almost one, and decided a couple of months ago that we were in a position where a baby wouldn't be the end of the world. We wouldn't 'try' as such but we wouldn't actively try to prevent it either.

'Har' I thought - only a 20% chance of conception each month, this may take a while.

After a few weeks of random odd moments of tiredness, tender boobs and a weirdly fluctuating appetite, I finally thought properly about when my last period had been and realised it had started almost two months ago. I did a test.

Then I went out and bought a ClearBlue Digital test.
